# Analyzing Performance Data

Once you've successfully connected your web properties to Google Search Console via Neuraltext, you can dive into analyzing your website's performance data to enhance your SEO and content strategies. This tutorial guides you through understanding and utilizing the performance data available in Neuraltext.

### **Accessing Performance Data**

* Select the **Performance** section from the sidebar to access your website's performance overview.
* Here, you'll find a comprehensive dashboard displaying various metrics imported from Google Search Console.

### **Understanding Key Metrics**

* **Impressions:** The number of times your site's pages appeared in search results.
* **Clicks:** How many times users clicked on your site's links in search results.
* **CTR (Click-Through Rate):** The percentage of impressions that led to clicks, indicating the effectiveness of your title and description meta tags.

<figure><img src="/files/fbliugwFLgL4upb0ZbRj" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Queries:** In this section you can see all the queries your website is ranking for. You can also Cluster these queries by clicking on **Cluster Keywords**, on the right top. By doing so, you will obtain a cluster of all your keywords to identify new content opportunities or improvements.

<figure><img src="/files/EAq9ANO4nw2X68LvNg5t" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Pages**: In this section you will have an overview of all your pages and metrics, such as trend and position difference, that will show you the changes in the last 28 days.

### **Identifying Opportunities**

* **Growth Opportunities:** Pages ranking from positions 3 to 20. It can be useful for expanding existing content with new sections or creating new content to cover that search intent. For each page in this section, you will have a list of keywords that page is ranking for. You can then cluster these keywords to understand how to improved the content of that page or if it is better to create new pages.&#x20;
* **Untapped Potential:** Identify queries with high impressions but no clicks, suggesting a need for more targeted or relevant content. In this section you can find queries ranking from position 21 to 100. Leverage the clustering algorithm on these keywords to find new content ideas.
* **Query Count**: This heatmap is useful to analyse trends over the past 12 weeks for the queries ranking in the top 20. On the vertical axis you have the ranking (from 1 to 20), on the horizontal axis you have the last 12 weeks, and each cell corresponds to the number of queries ranking on that position in that week. An ideal scenario is when you have your top-right area coloured as green.&#x20;

### **Taking Action**

* Based on your analysis, create a prioritized list of actions. This might include creating new content, optimizing existing pages, or adjusting your site's SEO settings.
* Implement these changes and continue to monitor performance data in Neuraltext to measure the impact of your efforts.

### **Review and Iterate**

* SEO and content optimization is an ongoing process. Regularly review your performance data in Neuraltext to stay ahead of trends, adapt to algorithm changes, and continuously improve your site's visibility and engagement.

By thoroughly analyzing your website's performance data within Neuraltext, you gain valuable insights that can drive strategic decisions to enhance your online presence. This data-driven approach ensures your content not only reaches but also resonates with your target audience, ultimately leading to increased traffic and engagement.

# Keyword Discovery

Researching keywords is essential to grow anything online because it can reveal important details.

Keywords reports can help you understand what terms people are actively searching for, the trend of those terms, and guide your marketing efforts to increase organic search visibility, rankings, and traffic.

Some data you can see in keyword reports:

* How many users are searching monthly a term (Search Volume)
* What are the most relevant terms
* What's the seasonality (Trend)
* How difficult it could be to rank (Keyword Difficulty)
* SERP Features
* Cost-per-Click

# Keyword Research

To draw traffic from search engines effectively, it's crucial to target topics and queries that your audience is actively searching for.

Keyword research serves as the cornerstone of the content creation process, underpinning the development of a strategy that resonates with users' needs and interests. Neuraltext streamlines this pivotal step by enabling you to uncover new, relevant keywords and efficiently organize them into a coherent, actionable content plan in mere minutes.

The Keyword Report feature of Neuraltext offers a detailed overview of popular variations on your initial seed keyword, complete with insights on search volume, trends, and competitive difficulty.

* **Search Term:** Represents popular search queries directly sourced from Google, offering variations on your initial seed keyword.

* **Trend Line:** Displays a graph depicting the keyword's popularity over the past 12 months, giving you insight into its temporal relevance.
* **SERP Features:** Enumerates non-traditional search result elements (e.g., videos, local packs) that appear on Google's search results page for a given keyword.
* **Average Volume:** Provides an estimated monthly search volume for each keyword on Google, indicating potential traffic.

**Step 3: Refining Your Search**

* Use the filters to narrow down the list based on criteria like search volume, difficulty, or keyword length. This can help you identify the most promising keywords for your strategy.

**Step 5: Bulk SERP Analysis or Cluster**

* You can select as many keywords as you want and then head to the top right corner, click on **Move to** and choose if you want to create in bulk a SERP Analysis (Content Brief) for each keyword, or send these keywords to the **Keyword Clustering Algorithm**, to obtain an editorial plan in minutes!

### **Best Practices**

* **Regularly Update Your Research:** Search trends can change rapidly. Regular keyword research ensures your content remains relevant and competitive.
* **Balance Between Volume and Difficulty:** Don't just target high-volume keywords; consider lower-competition keywords that can yield quick wins and targeted traffic.
* **Consider Long-Tail Keywords:** These often have lower search volume but higher conversion rates due to their specific nature.

By following these steps and utilizing Neuraltext's Keyword Discovery tool, you can significantly enhance your SEO and content strategies with data-driven keyword insights. This process not only helps in attracting more organic traffic but also in aligning your content more closely with your audience's needs and search behaviors.

# How to Pick the Right Keyword

Selecting the right keywords is pivotal for driving organic traffic to your website. In this guide, we'll introduce a systematic approach to uncovering the essential keywords you should target with the help of Neuraltext. Understanding keyword research is crucial; it offers a window into your audience's language, revealing their common inquiries and the various stages of their customer journey. With practice, this insight allows you to align your content with user intent effectively.

### Define Seed Keywords

Start by identifying your "seed keywords," which are broad topics you aim to cover on your site. These foundational keywords serve as the cornerstone of your research, guiding the discovery of more specific terms. Aiming for 3-5 seed keywords is an ideal beginning. Bloggers might find this step straightforward by analyzing common themes in their content. For others, empathizing with potential customers to anticipate search terms they might use to find your offerings online is key. For instance, a pet shop owner's seed keywords could include "puppy food," "dog chew toys," and "dog beds."

### **Expand Seed Keywords**

Neuraltext leverages Google search predictions to tap into the most searched terms by real users. Our keyword discovery engine enhances your seed keywords with a variety of query modifiers (such as "why," "when," "where," along with numbers and letters), ensuring you capture:

* **Popular Keywords:** By focusing on terms actively searched by users, you ensure relevance and demand.
* **Updated Keywords:** Real-time analysis guarantees the freshness and timeliness of the keywords discovered.
* **Geographically Relevant Keywords:** Simulating searches from your selected region ensures the keywords are applicable to your target audience.

This methodical approach not only broadens your keyword list with high-traffic, relevant terms but also aligns your content strategy with actual user behavior and trends, setting a solid foundation for attracting more visitors to your site.

![](/files/gT0VW4ai51E6O56rxqqL)

{% hint style="info" %}
**Pro tip:** NeuralText supports the wildcard (\*) in the keyword research.

The asterisk is a placeholder for one or more words.<br>

Here you can find some keyword results for the seed keyword **"can you \* to android":**

* can you **install** android **on ios**
* can you **airdrop** to android
* can you **facetime** to android
* can you **facetime** to android **from iphone**
* can you **upgrade** to android **version**
* can you **connect** **airpods** to android
* can you **pair airpods** to android
* can you **transfer** android to **iphone**
* can you **send imessage** to android
  {% endhint %}

### **Understanding Search Intent**

Gone are the days when merely stuffing a webpage with high-volume keywords guaranteed a boost in rankings. With the advent of sophisticated machine learning algorithms, Google now meticulously matches search queries with content to discern a user's true search intent. This paradigm shift underlines the importance of relevance, bringing the concept of search intent to the forefront of SEO strategies. Search intent refers to the underlying reason behind a person's search query, which can be categorized into various types:

* **Informational:** The user seeks answers or information.
* **Navigational:** The user looks for a specific website or page.
* **Transactional:** The intention is to make a purchase or complete an action.
* **Exploratory:** The user is in the research phase, possibly leading up to a transaction.

To gauge the intent behind a keyword, perform a simple test: enter the keyword into Google's search bar and analyze the nature of the top results. This exercise will reveal the type of content Google deems most relevant to that keyword, guiding you to align your content accordingly.

### **Creating a Keyword List**

An effective keyword list is a blend of both broad and niche terms, incorporating both short-tail and long-tail keywords. Long-tail keywords, being more descriptive, make it easier to pinpoint search intent. Although these detailed queries may attract fewer visitors, they tend to have a higher conversion rate due to their specificity and the clarity of intent behind them. Crafting a diversified keyword list ensures you cater to a wide range of search intents, from users at the initial stages of information gathering to those ready to make a decision or purchase. This strategic approach enhances your content's visibility across different stages of the user journey, optimizing your site for both traffic and conversions.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Pro tip:** Sometimes you could notice that a lot of people append “Reddit” at the end of the search queries. To target this type of keywords you can create a curated article with a title like “The best according to Reddit” and insert links to original threads or just screenshots to original replies.
{% endhint %}

![](/files/6K6YPaDofdlgiWdEhTN9)

### Leveraging Low-Volume Queries

For example, you can add those keywords to existing articles in a heading.

Usually this trick can let you rank faster for those keywords with lower competition.

But how you can say if a zero search volume keyword is worth the effort? It’s simple: check the SERP for that keyword and check the age of results. If ranked pages are too old, it might mean that the keyword it’s not very popular and that’s why you can ignore it.

Researching the right keywords for your business is crucial for any online business.

Search terms are a way to understand your target audience and its behavior on the internet.

Our keyword engine basically expands a seed term using different patterns called modifiers.

This allows us to generate always a list of keywords that reflects the current searches from real users, leveraging the power of Google suggest feature.

# Keyword Clustering

In today's competitive digital landscape, maximizing the impact of your content requires a strategic approach to keyword research and optimization.

Neuraltext's Keyword Clustering tool revolutionizes this process by intelligently grouping keywords based on semantic similarity and search engine results page (SERP) data.

This section will guide you through leveraging the Keyword Clustering tool to refine your content strategy, enabling you to create highly targeted, SEO-optimized content. By understanding and applying the principles of keyword clustering, you can efficiently organize your content creation efforts, ensuring that each piece of content is perfectly positioned to rank for multiple, related search terms.

Let's dive into how you can utilize this tool to streamline your keyword research phase and transform your content strategy into a powerful engine for organic growth.

<figure><img src="/files/GwnrWTJSdAP27GFmB6dk" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to Cluster Keywords

#### Keyword Clustering: How to Cluster Keywords with Neuraltext

Neuraltext's Keyword Clustering tool streamlines the keyword research process by automating the grouping of keywords, thereby crafting a content strategy in mere minutes. This powerful tool delves into SERP data for each keyword you input, clustering keywords based on semantic similarities and the URLs they rank for. Here's how to leverage this tool effectively to enhance your content strategy:

### **Step 1: Prepare Your Keyword List**

Begin by compiling a comprehensive list of keywords you wish to analyze. This list can include a wide range of terms related to your content goals, from broad to niche-specific keywords.

### **Step 2: Submit Your Keywords to Neuraltext**

Within the Neuraltext platform, navigate to the Keyword Clustering tool. Upload your list of keywords. The tool is designed to handle large volumes of keywords, so whether you're working with hundreds or thousands of terms, Neuraltext is equipped to analyze them efficiently.

### **Step 3: Clustering Analysis**

Once submitted, Neuraltext's algorithm goes to work, examining the SERP for each keyword. It identifies patterns in ranking URLs and semantic similarities, grouping keywords that are likely to rank together. This process is grounded in the principle that keywords with similar search results, particularly those competing for rankings, can be effectively targeted in a single comprehensive article.

### **Step 4: Review the Output**

After the analysis, you'll receive an output file categorizing your keywords into clusters. Each cluster is centered around a main keyword—the term with the highest search volume within the group. Accompanying variations offer insights into semantically related terms and potential section headings or synonyms to be used in your content.

### **Step 5: Crafting Your Content**

For each keyword cluster, aim to create a dedicated article. Incorporate the main keyword prominently, and weave in the variations throughout your piece. This approach not only enriches your content but also maximizes the chances of ranking for all the terms within the cluster. By targeting grouped keywords, you effectively streamline your content creation process, ensuring each article has a broader impact on your SEO efforts.

### **Tips for Maximizing Keyword Clusters:**

* **Utilize the Main Keyword:** Feature the main keyword in your article's title, headings, and throughout the body where relevant.
* **Incorporate Variations:** Use the variations as subheadings, within the content body, and as alternative expressions of the main keyword to enhance semantic richness.
* **Monitor Performance:** Keep track of your articles' rankings for the clustered keywords. This data can inform future content adjustments and keyword research.

By following these steps and tips, you can transform your approach to keyword research and content strategy with Neuraltext. The Keyword Clustering tool not only simplifies the process but also provides a strategic framework for creating content that is more likely to rank across multiple, related search terms.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Example**:

Imagine you have a comprehensive list of 3,000 keywords that you want to optimize your content around. After submitting this list to Neuraltext's Keyword Clustering tool, the analysis yields 150 distinct groups or clusters of keywords.

**Here's how you can proceed:**

For each of these 150 clusters, your strategy involves crafting an individual article. The aim is to incorporate not just the main keyword but also all related variations found within the cluster. This holistic approach significantly boosts the probability of your article ranking for every keyword tied to its respective cluster.

**Key Highlights of the Process:**

* **Central Keyword Focus:** Each cluster is organized around a primary keyword. This keyword boasts the highest search volume within the group, making it a critical focal point for your content.
* **Content Creation:** When writing your article, the main keyword should feature prominently - think titles, subtitles, and throughout the body of your content. The variations, or semantically related keywords, serve as enriching content layers, acting as subheadings or alternative expressions. This not only aids in SEO but also ensures your content is comprehensive and engaging for readers.
* **Strategic Content Planning:** This approach allows you to efficiently plan your content calendar. By focusing on a cluster-based strategy, you ensure each piece of content is optimized for a set of keywords, maximizing your SEO efforts and online visibility.

**Practical Application:**

Let's say one of your clusters revolves around the main keyword "best coffee machines for home use," with variations including "top home coffee makers," "home espresso machine reviews," and "affordable coffee machines for home." Your article will not only introduce the concept (utilizing the main keyword) but will also delve into reviews, comparisons, and budget-friendly options, guided by the variations. This comprehensive coverage ensures your content is relevant for a broader range of search queries, enhancing your visibility across search engines.

By applying Neuraltext's Keyword Clustering in this manner, you streamline your SEO and content creation process, ensuring each article you produce has the potential to rank for a wide spectrum of related keywords, thereby increasing your site's traffic and relevance.
{% endhint %}

Use the keyword in the variations column as section headings or as synonyms for the main keyword.

{% hint style="danger" %}
You don't need to include all the variations in your article! Use the common sense and don't stuff keywords.
{% endhint %}

# Analyzing Clustering Results

After you've utilized Neuraltext's Keyword Clustering tool to organize your keywords into strategic groups, the next critical step is to analyze these clustering results effectively. This analysis not only reveals the structure and relationship between your keywords but also guides the creation of content that resonates with your target audience and performs well in search engine rankings. Here’s how to navigate through and make the most of your clustering results:

### **Understanding Your Clustering Output**

The output from the Keyword Clustering tool is a detailed map of how your initial keywords interrelate, segmented into clusters. Each cluster is centered around a main keyword with the highest search volume, surrounded by variations and closely related terms. This structure is designed to provide a clear focus for content creation, highlighting opportunities to target a set of keywords within a single, cohesive article.

### **Key Elements to Focus On**

* **Main Keyword:** The anchor of each cluster, indicating the primary focus area. This keyword usually has the highest search potential and should be prominently featured in your content.
* **Variations and Related Terms:** These are the semantically related keywords within the cluster. They represent different user intents or questions that your content should address, providing depth and breadth to your article.
* **Cluster Size and Composition:** Pay attention to the number of keywords in each cluster and their relationship. A larger cluster might indicate a broad topic that could require more comprehensive coverage, while a smaller cluster might be more niche, requiring a focused approach.

### **Strategies for Using Clustering Results**

* **Content Planning:** Use each cluster as a blueprint for an individual piece of content. This approach ensures that your articles are rich in relevant keywords, enhancing their SEO performance.
* **Gap Analysis:** By examining the keywords within each cluster, identify any content gaps in your current strategy. This can reveal new topics or areas where your competitors might be outperforming you.
* **Optimization Opportunities:** Look for clusters with high-volume main keywords but less competition, as these represent prime opportunities for quick wins in SEO rankings.

### **Practical Application**

When reviewing your clustering results, it’s beneficial to think about how each cluster can translate into content that serves your audience's needs and interests. For example, a cluster around "sustainable gardening tips" might include variations like "eco-friendly gardening practices" and "water-saving garden ideas." This indicates a strong interest in sustainability among your gardening audience, guiding you to create comprehensive content that addresses various aspects of sustainable gardening.

### **Continuous Improvement**

The landscape of SEO and content marketing is always evolving. Regularly revisiting your clustering results and analyzing new keyword data can help you refine your strategy over time. Keep an eye on how well your content based on previous clusters performs, and don’t hesitate to adjust your approach based on what the data tells you.

By thoroughly analyzing your clustering results, you can ensure that your content strategy is not only aligned with SEO best practices but also deeply connected to the interests and queries of your target audience. This level of strategic planning and analysis will significantly enhance the visibility and engagement of your content across search engines.

# SERP Analysis

**Interpreting SERP Analysis**

When you associate a keyword with a document in Neuraltext, our system automatically conducts a Google search for that keyword, meticulously analyzing the content of the pages ranking in the top 20 positions.

This deep dive into the SERP (Search Engine Results Pages) is neatly summarized in a dedicated SERP Analysis section, accessible from the sidebar. In a SEO Brief you still have the AI Smart Editor.

&#x20;Here's how you can leverage this analysis to enhance your content strategy.

<figure><img src="/files/9eWOWiksuQPaHcPaG1LY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### **Write, Overview and Headings**

On the editor's side, you will have three sections:

* **Write**: to use the AI Writing Assistant or write your own article/report.
* **Overview: SERP(s)** overview with Volume data, similarity across SERPs (if you selected more than 1 keyword), SERP widgets, intents, and the results found on the Search Engine Results Page, along with their word count and content score.

<figure><img src="/files/7vY1nJOnXE4uNON7umPm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/JeKvL0I5wosZZXKz07B1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Headings**: a concise view on all the headings of the SERP. Pretty useful if you want to build your own outline. You can also click on an heading to add it to your own Outline builder.

<figure><img src="/files/dz8ERY1jHJxCaNIMJrWu" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Outline Builder

The outline builder is found under **Outline** on the right sidebar.

<figure><img src="/files/8UKmLiYpGdqMIRTut868" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Explore

The **Explore** section, on the right sidebar, is pretty useful to understand:

* **Competitor's questions:** This area curates questions derived from the top-ranking pages, offering you a direct line to understanding your audience's queries and pain points, which is crucial for creating resonant content.

<figure><img src="/files/pn0b43mmYIxgh9DPcEw4" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Gain insights from key **statistics** extracted from the top 20 search results. Incorporating these statistics into your content not only enriches it but also boosts reader engagement by providing compelling, data-backed arguments.

<figure><img src="/files/TbJZAgV0Xt9yY8sCcIkU" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Google's **People Also Ask** questions

<figure><img src="/files/rTi9tOCIrsj8ej6eQgxy" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Questions coming from **Reddit** and **Quora**, pretty useful to understand what people are asking in the forums and take advantage of this to improve your articles by answering to those questions.

<figure><img src="/files/11b6ZObfF5Z5RYaGoBc0" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Optimize

Neuraltext analyzes and extracts relevant topics from titles, headers, and the body of content across the SERP, assembling a comprehensive topic model.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
The color coding within this section serves as an intuitive guide:<br>

* **Grey** indicates topics not yet covered in your document.
* **Green** signifies adequate coverage of a topic.
* **Red** warns of potential keyword stuffing, indicating overuse of a topic.
  {% endhint %}

#### Subtopics

Delve into a detailed list of topics and their corresponding subtopics, ranked by their significance within the overall topic model. This feature not only identifies what main and subsidiary topics competitors are focusing on but also groups these subtopics into clusters for a bird's-eye view of the competitive landscape.

![As you write the topic count will update, showing how your document is doing compared to the topic model.](/files/FVhJUjxiyt7NOqnpNTFU)

#### Topic Clusters

In this section you will see all subtopics extracted from the search results grouped together. The topic cluster are ordered by total contribution to the overall topic model. Clicking on a children topic will show how competitors have used that sub topic. This is extremely useful to quickly see what are the main topics covered by competitors.

<figure><img src="/files/Lol6KCEZP2cVolaXxNe5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

As you can see, what you write in the editor will be scored against the topic model. In the example above, you can clearly see the word ***city*** is overused.

**SERP Scores**

The SERP Scores metric (which you can find both in the ***overview*** and ***serp*** section) evaluates how well competitors have optimized their content based on topic coverage, offering you a benchmark for your own content optimization efforts.

# Add data to a document

As you could have already noticed, NeuralText is able to extract a lot of data from pages ranking on Google.

Sometimes you might want to add these data to the document.

This article will explain what are the available options to include data in the document.

### Import from URL

3. Click on “Process URL”
4. After a few seconds, you will see a preview of the extracted article
5. Click on “Confirm” button to insert in the editor

<details>

<summary><strong>Why NeuralText is unable to pull data from some URLs?</strong></summary>

Although are doing our best to extract the text content from competitor pages as possible, sometimes we cannot get the data we need.

Below are a few reasons why this might be the case:

* **Several pages lack enough text content.** We use heading tags to evaluate if a page has enough text content to be considered useful to the user. Our extraction algorithms tend to consider the main content of a page, removing all the boilerplate (navbar, sidebar and footer links etc.).
* Blocked Page - Some websites block third parties from programmatically accessing the contents of their site.
* Unstructured Content - There are many parts of a website that aren't part of the main content. For instance, a navigation bar, footer, sidebar, or any advertisements. Whenever we extract content from a page we try to get rid of these unimportant elements. When the page structure looks confusing to our system, it can mean we are unable to identify the content, and therefore can't extract the text from a page.

We are continuously improving our extraction engine. If you need some help, don’t hesitate to contact our friendly support.

# Export documents

When you are ready to show your content to the world, you have two ways:

* Download document as HTML
* Share the document publicly in read-only mode

### Download document as HTML

# Share a SEO Brief

#### Sharing Options

A document can be shared with anyone on the web. Just click on the share button, besides the right sidebar, and share the link with anyone you want.<br>

# Bulk SEO Content Briefs

NeuralText is able to crawl search results and extract statistics, questions and topics from ranking pages.

The automatic bulk functionality for content briefs is ideal for saving time and create concurrently as many seo briefs as you need.

<figure><img src="/files/1WSL4RVaHvjFxFipr5Sb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Just create a SERP Analysis as you would do normally, and click on **Bluk document creation**.

Simply insert as many keywords as you wish, line by line, and Neuraltext will start processing those for you.

# Content Optimization

{% hint style="info" %}
What's inside this section:

* How NeuralText analyzes search engine results
* Understand and get the most out of different types of topics
* How to use SERP data to write new content or to refresh an existing one
  {% endhint %}

# Content Optimization Basics

Nobody knows precisely how the Google Search algorithm works. But one thing is for sure: Google tries to satisfy the user.

Google has shifted the search paradigm from a keyword-based system to a more complex one based on entities and search journeys.

As a writer, you must make sure that your content is relevant to your searchers' needs.

NeuralText helps you to understand what's relevant to include in your content to craft a well-researched piece of content.

#### How NeuralText analyzes a Search Engine Results Page

When you create a document with a keyword, NeuralText will analyze the top search results on Google for that query and "read" all organic results.

We analyze the main content from each page ranking on Google and extract topics using a method called Named Entity Recognition.

This is an ordered list of actions performed under the hood:

* Search on Google
* Extract main content from top 20 ranking pages
* Extract topics from main content
* Aggregate and Group Topics
* Rank topics per frequency and importance
* Score pages based on the overall topic model

# Content Score

Optimizing as you write is one of NeuralText's most popular workflows.

The Content Score updates in real-time as you write. This means you can ensure right away that everything you draft inside NeuralText will be SEO-friendly with NeuralText's content and optimization features.

<figure><img src="/files/m6EvREiHfSbDR3fDtLV3" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 1. Content Score <a href="#content-score" id="content-score"></a>

The content score suggests how this article is optimized for the target keyword.

### 2. Word Count <a href="#word-count" id="word-count"></a>

Word count is not a ranking factor, but it can be useful to understand quickly how long your content should be.

### 3. Topic Score <a href="#topic-score" id="topic-score"></a>

The topic score reflects your coverage of the topics found in SERP for your article.&#x20;

If you don't know how to cover a topic, dont' worry! Whenever you click on a topic from clusters, subtopics, headers, or titles section, you will see examples of how to use that topic.

### 4. Readability <a href="#readability" id="readability"></a>

The readability score indicates how easy it will be for someone to read this text. It's not required to reach a high score at all costs, but in the majority of cases can help.

# AI writing assistant

NeuralText uses state-of-the-art technology to generate text with the click of a button.\
\
But it's far far from being perfect, and that's totally normal.

All the AI writing assistant on the market can occasionally generate repetitive, factually incorrect and off-topic content.\
\
But by understanding how our AI works you will increase the likelihood that you get quality content every time.

{% hint style="success" %}
What you will learn:

* How NeuralText AI works
* Why context and patterns matter
* Is the generated text original/unique?
* How to use AI Templates
* How to make things right when the AI writes off-topic
  {% endhint %}

# How the AI writing assistant works

Every time you press “Write for me” button in the text editor or use an AI template, you will be using a machine learning model trained by reading a large proportion of everything published on the internet.

NeuralText AI can connect billions of data points from different topics in seconds and generate readable and engaging content.

### Why patterns matter

Autoregressive models are susceptible to patterns, making it extremely flexible to different use cases.

Take for example this sentence:

```
Title: Overcoming writer's block
Outline:
```

Our AI will provide this completion

```
1. What is writer's block?
2. Why writers get stuck
3. The symptoms of writer's block
4. The cure for writer's block
```

If instead,&#x20;

```
Writer's block is a condition
```

This is what the AI will write

te

### A note of caution

Even if we have done our best to train AI on the most high quality data available on the Internet, sometimes the AI can generate weird or unwanted text, like any other AI writing assistant available on the market.

Due to the AI architecture, you can achieve best perfomance by providing high quality text to the model, because it was designed to mimick input text in tone, style and overall quality.

Be aware that NeuralText’s AI writer will not instantly produce articles that are ready for publication.

With a bit of practice, you will be amazed by the results

#### Common pitfalls

First-time users of the "Write for Me" tool often perceive it as broken. But why?

The test will be performed on a completely blank document without any context provided. If you ask a person to write an article without indicating the subject or format, it would be like giving them a blank sheet of paper and asking them to write.

You will need to provide contextual clues to the tool so that it knows what you want it to write about. Providing as much context as you can is likely to improve the results.

# What is the science behind our AI?

Under the hood, NeuralText uses AI in different ways. We generate text, analyze texts and extract topics in an accurate way.

No matter what is the task, you can be sure that we are using the latest, state-of-the-art models.

New neural networks like GPT-4 are innovative and powerful and it has made it simpler to generate text. By interpreting a general description, this network can not only create brand new information from the information you provide it with but also understand the information in a deeper way. Furthermore, it is extremely flexible.

In addition to our proprietary algorithms, we use resources provided by different partners. After teaching it to understand copywriting the algorithms became truly useful. Using the best copywriting techniques, we systematically trained it. Based on its learnings, the AI became an expert copywriter quickly. It continues to improve every day!

# Is the generated text original/unique?

Not always. Neither we nor our competitors can ensure this a priori. Giving high frequent and repetition penalty to the model, only assures that it will pick the least probable word.

You can check the originality/uniqueness of a text after you've generated the text by searching part of the generated text in Google or using third-party providers, like Copyscape.

We are discussing if integrating a third-party provider in our app in the next release cycles.

# The AI is generating weird or unexpected results

Despite its cleverness, AI is far from perfection.

Rory Sutherland, a vice chairman at the advertising firm Ogilvy, compared AI recently to satellite navigation tech in a car. “Great for directions, but you don't allow it to drive the car,” [BBC](https://www.bbc.com/news/business-57781557)

If you do not get any results, or if the AI does not seem to work properly, you may get some odd, unfitting or unexpected results. Troubleshooting should be done according to the steps below.

**Do it again**

There may be times when your connection to the AI is simply interrupted, causing odd or no results. Also, the AI may occasionally make mistakes.The first thing to do is to run the AI a few more times if an odd result appears. Your AI will likely work again as normal if the next results are good, so it seems that it was just a simple mistake. Please consult the next section if the results are still strange or do not work.

**Change the prompt if necessary.**

A vast collection of examples has been used to train AI.

Still, the AI may encounter difficulties with the prompt you gave it due to the infinite ways people write.

Changing your word choice and sentence structure can help you rewrite your prompt. Include as much relevant detail as possible.

Then, run the AI again. You can continue if the results improve. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.

**Refresh the page**

The AI and your system can sometimes have a problem connecting. The reason for this can vary, but it usually occurs after a tool has been open for a while. It may help to refresh the page. Refreshing the page essentially restarts NeuralText. You can create content again after this. Alternatively, move on to the next step if this doesn't work.

**Your cache needs to be cleared**

Through small and frequent updates, NeuralText, including the AI generation, is constantly improved. It's possible, though, that your browser's cookie data may be preventing the AI from updating, causing the updates not to go through.You can fix this problem by following these steps.- First, close NeuralText.

* Then, go to the settings of your browser and clear the cache.
* Start your browser again.
* You can now try generating text from NeuralText again. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.

In case you don't want your browser's cache to be erased, you can skip this step. Open NeuralText in an incognito window and try the AI there first to see if that is the problem. To make the AI work properly again, you must clear your cache. If the AI works, then this is the issue. In case it doesn't work, you can also proceed to the next step.

**Please try again later or contact us.**

It is likely that the issue is on our side if all the above did not solve it. Our AI might be temporarily down, or maybe we have another problem. We suggest trying again in several hours. It might be running again by then.You can always contact us via our live chat if you have any questions. Our team will reach out to you as soon as possible and try to help you.

# AI tricks

Mastering AI can be a challenging task. Don't you see the results you were expecting? Follow these tips to improve your results. Be sure to check these tips first if you are experiencing poor or no text generation.

**Give your description more details**

AI can create more content with more information fed to it. The longer a description is, the better the result. Be as specific as possible. It could make a difference.

**Don't be vague, be specific**

Ironic truth is that artificial intelligence is not intelligent. To produce solid content, it needs clear guidelines it can latch onto. Ensure that your descriptions are as specific as possible. Explain what you mean in crystal clear language, so there is no possibility of confusion.

**Synonyms can be helpful**

Despite knowing a lot, the AI isn't a dictionary. All the words, products, or companies that you know may not be familiar to it. Use synonyms instead of the words you are used to. Try substituting a few words with synonyms. They might be easier for the AI to understand. Have trouble coming up with synonyms? You can find a wide variety of websites that offer synonyms for a word.

# There are words in my prompt that aren't allowed?

Despite our best efforts, we are severely limited in what words we can and cannot use to generate content. Our goal is to prevent misuse of the tool. Sometimes these restrictions include normal words like "blood".

Can you identify any words or terms in your prompt that you think might be misunderstood? You might want to consider rephrasing it. Should that still fail to fix the problem, feel free to send us the prompt and we'll assist you.

# AI Prompts

Our 40+ AI templates are designed to address very specific use cases, and they are very straightforward to understand and use. The next section will provide tips on how to make the most out of them.

To access AI Templates, simply click on **AI Prompts**, on the main sidebar.

<figure><img src="/files/yQEACh1iZzixnjU7DoJM" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### How to use AI Prompts

Let's say we want to create the copy for a product called Cloud X, a personal cloud device where you can store your personal data and access it from everywhere

#### Step 1: Select a Tool

Choose one of the available tools. For example, we want to create an *AIDA (Attention-Interest-Desire-Action)* marketing cop&#x79;*.*

#### Step 2: Describe your product

Insert the name of the product "Cloud X" and describe it in 2-3 sentences.

We will use this description: "The Privacy-First Smart Personal Cloud. Store your data locally and access it from anywhere with this smart personal cloud device."

{% hint style="info" %}
Basically, you want to provide the AI with the information required to generate content on your product. It can be as simple as taking a description from your site. Custom-written descriptions, however, are sometimes more effective. Take the time to test what works best.

Make sure you're being specific. You can help the AI generate better content by giving it clear, specific pointers it can latch onto. Try something different and see if it works better if you aren't happy with the results.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/duIVgJOzfFuxdQdCaWNh" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Step 3: Edit, save, delete, export

**Edit**

AI generated copy is not always ready to be published as-is, but it can give you some you want to refine.

<figure><img src="/files/OQd3u4MCVlpraCyuBaWk" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Copy to clipboard

Click on the copy icon to copy to clipboard a single ad text.
